Our Story & Beliefs
ELCSA Midrand Parish is a parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa (ELCSA), within the Western Circuit and Central Diocese. The parish is physically located in Midrand, between Johannesburg and Pretoria in Gauteng, South Africa.
ELCSA is an Episcopal church whose foundation is Jesus Christ, the Word of God as proclaimed in the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments, correctly explained by the three ecumenical symbols (Apostles’, Nicene, Athanasian) and the Lutheran Confessions.
We are a growing, vibrant congregation rooted in the Gospel of grace and committed to justice and reconciliation. Our worship honours both Lutheran heritage and the African context – joyful, warm, and heartfelt.
